Cakes and coffee, anyone?
Matapos mabusog sa dinner (my earlier post, Cherushi), naghahanap naman kami ng hot drinks and pastries to warm our tastebuds and tummies kaya we tried this new pastry and coffee shop na nasa Ground Floor ng Coral Center. The place is named Fig Tree.
Napag-alaman ko mula kay mareng google at FB na ang Fig Tree is a catering and events place business. Meron silang branch sa Tunasan (near Susana Heights) at may recently opened store sila dito sa Southwoods.
May all-day breakfast offers and other meals ang Fig Tree, pero coffee and cake lang muna tayo busog pa e (wow, uso pala mabusog sa akin haha) so there, here's the list and prices of their hot drink offerings.
Na-excite ako sa Nutella Madness pero sold out na nung dumating kami (huhubels). Ang available nalang na cake slices ay Moist Chocolate Cake saka Sans Rival.
Actually natawa ako nung narinig ko yung Sans Rival mula sa waitress dahil two weeks inubos sa bahay yung cakes with the same flavor na pasalubong ng bf ko galing Dumaguete.
So Moist Chocolate cake, I choose you. Hati nalang kami ni bf para sweet at tipid at hindi masyadong bulwakers ang tiyan pag-uwi.
Caramel Macchiato - Php 100
Sakto lang daw ang sweetness ng drink na ito sabi ni boyfie. Dapat lang di ba? Para di nakakasawa..ang relasyon este ang coffee.
Brewed Coffee - Php 70
Bitter ka ba? Bitter kasi ako e, I mean, mahilig ako sa bitter. Yup, brewed coffee and dark chocolate ang pinag-uusapan natin dito.

Wala naman akong masabi sa kanila kundi good service. Ang servers nila kahit gabi na that time, they manage to smile parin kahit medyo pagod na. Patient din sila sa pag-aantay ng order.
Ideal ang lugar for meetings, sharing of ideas, projects, proposals. Meron kasing comfortable feel yung lugar, nakakagood mood. Ka-level ng Fig Tree ang price ng ilang coffee and pastry shops I've been before na may wi-fi, so ayun lang siguro ang masasabi kong room for improvement. Sure ako dadami pa lalo ang ma-a-attract tumambay dito pag nagka-wifi.
Malapit ito sa amin kaya tingin ko mapapadalas ako dito. Mahilig din kami magkakapatid sa kape (parang mga bulate lang sa Men in Black) kaya happy kami na may bagong addition sa mga coffee shops nearby.
Cheapangga Meter
Introducing the Cheapangga Meter, basically ito ay isang simple guide para maihanda ang bulsa at ang buong pagkatao sa tuwing lumalabas upang mag-dine out. Naka-base ito sa presyo ng pagkain per individual.
Cheapangga (Green, Price range: Php 100 and below)
Para sa estudyante na pinagkakasya ang allowance, mga taong tight ang budget, or sa mga talagang trip lang ang magtipid nang mas mabilis dahil gustong ilaan ang datung sa ibang bagay.
Muriah Carrey (Yellow, Price range: Php 101 to 300)
Para sa mga estudyante na mas mataas ang natatanggap na allowance, mga working people pero nagtitipid dahil may ibang hilig or passion sa buhay like travel, fashion, gadgets, etc.
Keriana Grande (Orange, Price range: Php 301 to 500)
Para sa mga working people na gustong i-treat ang sarili paminsan minsan, casual gatherings, family dinners and informal meetings. Ok ito gawin once or twice a month.
Mamahaline Dion (Red, Price range: Php 500 and above)
Para sa mga okasyong pinaghahandaan, formal gatherings na kailangang puntahan, or talagang can-afford.
Approved ito ng Cheapangga once in a while at tuwing kailangan talaga, but not all the time.
